Valentine Pretzel Ingredients
- Pretzels – Any bite size pretzels will work, we used these cute square pretzels for ours.
- Candy melts – I loved red and pink, but you can use any color candy melt.
- Candy hearts – Conversation hearts are so fun, but you can use any kind of candy! My kids love M&M’s and my husband thinks Red Hots are fun.
How do you make candy pretzels for Valentine’s Day? (Step-by-step)
⭐ First, lay pretzels flat on a silpat or parchment lined baking sheet.
⭐ Next, place a candy melt on each pretzel.
⭐ Then, place baking sheet into a warm oven.
⭐ Finally, remove baking sheet from oven and place candy in the middle of each pretzel while warm.
Preparation
Can you make Valentine’s pretzel candy ahead of time?
Yes! These will keep for several days (or even weeks) if stored properly.
Can I use chocolate instead of candy melts?
For sure! Try these with chocolate kisses, chocolate flavored candy melts, or even other flavors!
Do I have to use conversation hearts?
Nope, use any candy that won’t melt as the topper. We like large sprinkles, M&M’s or Sweettarts, or even cinnamon Red Hots!
Storage and leftovers
How do you store Valentine’s pretzels?
These should be stored in an airtight container in a cool dry place.
How long will Valentine’s pretzels last?
These should keep several days, and even up to several weeks in a cool dry environment.
Can you freeze Valentine’s pretzels?
We do not suggest freezing these.
What to eat with Valentine’s pretzels (serving suggestions)
Well, the way to my heart will always be a beautifully cooked steak, so definitely a grilled rib eye or chimichurri steak would be my first choice for Valentine’s dinner. The way to my husband’s heart however is a big bowl of loaded baked potato soup. (Don’t worry, we’ll make both!)
